Hi, I’m Bart Verkoeijen — a software engineer and entrepreneur from the Netherlands, living in Hong Kong.

I build for the web: full-stack applications, mobile apps, and the cloud infrastructure underneath them. Most of my working time goes into Flippercast, the software consultancy and SaaS company I founded, where I care as much about how something feels to use as whether it holds up under load.

This blog is where I write about the craft — what I’m learning, what I got wrong, and the occasional thing worth remembering. It’s an extension of my CV as much as it is a notebook.
